Welcome! LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York serves one of the most diverse student populations in the country working to achieve our mission of educating and graduating critical thinkers and socially responsible citizens who are helping to shape our rapidly evolving city and society. Named for Fiorello H. LaGuardia, New York City’s New Deal mayor, who inspired a city of immigrants, LaGuardia Community College today is proud to continue Mayor LaGuardia’s legacy of revitalizing New York City through knowledge and hard work. Our students, faculty, and staff are at the heart of our efforts to sustain our commitment to the communities where we work and live.

As you review our C2L site, you will learn about who we are, what we do, and how we utilize ePortfolio pedagogical practices to facilitate our work with reflective and integrative learning, advisement, outcomes assessment, and professional development. A long-time leader in the field of ePortfolios, our goal in this C2L project is to share the story of how LaGuardia’s ePortfolio project has grown and changed from just over 800 ePortfolios in its pilot year (2002) to over 80,000 ePortfolios today. Ours is an ambitious story of working to use innovative pedagogy and technology together to catalyze pedagogical, curricular, and institutional reform to serve our student body and to embody our philosophy that we are a truly a learning college.

We invite you to review our work and provide feedback on what you see by either contacting the members of the College’s C2L Leadership Team or using the comment feature on this site.
